Operation 36 (Op36), THE innovative, results-driven golf development program that teaches beginners how to play by starting on the course, is now available in Northern Nevada starting July 9.

Program Details
Dates & Times: July 9-August 27, every Thursday. Lessons 9 am -10:15 am. Assessments 10:30 am – 12 pm.
Location: Empire Ranch GC, Carson City
Cost: $360 for the 8-week program, including 8 instructional sessions and 4 on-course playing assessments.
There are only 11 spots still available, so act quickly.
The first class of the 8-week system is scheduled for July 9, 2026, at Empire Ranch Golf Club. Classes will run 9:00 am – 10:00 am. The cost is only $360 per person, which includes the classes and 9 hole play days. In all, there are 12 different practice sessions and 9-hole session.
Op36 is being directed by Cameron MacGregor, PGA, and the Nevada Golf Northern Region executive director.

Weekly Coaching Classes (8 Weeks) –
Our interactive group classes, based on the Operation 36 Curriculum, keep golf learning engaging and easy. We cover 12 skills across 6 levels, ensuring a comprehensive introduction to the game.
Operation 36 Play Days (4 Events) –
Experience real golf with our structured 9-Hole Play Days. Starting from 25-yard holes at Level 1, these play days encourage you to shoot a score of 36, progressing to larger distances as you improve.
The Op 36 Mobile App –
Watch your skills grow! As you advance through the levels, earn new skills and rewards and stay connected with coach schedules and communication.
Over 50% of Op36 players are adults, learning through a proven curriculum, weekly group classes, and scheduled 9-hole matches where you “golf in reverse”
Instead of forcing beginners to play full-length courses, Op36 scales the course to your skill level to build confidence:
- Level 1 (25 Yards): You play 9 holes starting just 25 yards from each green.
- The Target: Your goal is to shoot par (36) or better.
- Level Up: Once you shoot a 36, you progress to the next division (e.g., 50 yards) the next time you play.
- The 10 Levels: You advance step-by-step from 25 yards out all the way to the full, regulation tee box.
The Curriculum & Tech
Adult classes are typically taught in 8-week semesters that feature weekly group clinics and on-course playing tests. The program also utilizes the Operation 36 Mobile App, which allows you to log your practice, track your scores, and access 12 educational videos on swing fundamentals.
