The Northern California PGA and the Northern Nevada golf community mourn the passing of James “Jim” Kepler, PGA, a legendary figure whose 40-year career reshaped the regional landscape of the game.
A former NCPGA Board Director and the 2009 NCPGA Golf Professional of the Year, Jim was a titan of the Sierra Nevada Chapter, most notably serving as the longtime General Manager of Eagle Valley and the principal owner of Dayton Valley Golf Club.
From mentoring young professionals to maintaining Dayton Valley’s prestige as a premier PGA Tour Qualifying site, Jim’s visionary leadership and dedication to the Reno-Carson City area leave an indelible mark on the fairways he loved and the community he served.
Kepler was a strong supporter of amateur golf in Northern Nevada and Nevada. Nevada Golf and the Northern Region pass along our best wishes to his family.
