It is a mis-perception that the Nevada State Women’s Amateur is solely for just the top championship gross women golfers in Nevada. While the Championship division is reserved for those golfers, the Silver State Division features a net and gross division for any players 18+ years old.

The Northern Region’s Audrey Brust won the championship division, while Southern Region golfers Ronda Henderson (gross) and Casey Landman (net) won in the Silver State division.
Golfers who meet the criteria to play in the Championship division can play, and this includes top high school golfers. Golfers must have a handicap of 6.0 or below to play in the Championship division.
Nevada Golf is working with the USGA to secure an exemption for the champion into the U.S. Women’s Amateur for future years, but more participation from top players is needed. For the last couple years, the champion of the Nevada State Amateur for men has received a prestigious U.S. Amateur exemption.
