Jason Buckholz, a member of the winning amateur team, said the event is a great time.
“It’s a reward for some of the top amateurs to play against the pros,” he said. “It’s more of a fun day. Sure, you’re playing for pride but win, lose or draw, it’s always a good time.”
The teams opened with a 3-3 tie in the four-ball portion of the tournament before the NNGA team took the lead with a 4-2 victory in the foursomes section.
