The Northern Nevada Golf Association (NNGA) and the Southern Nevada Golf Association (SNGA) have officially united to form Nevada Golf, a new statewide amateur golf association dedicated to serving golfers, clubs, and courses across the Silver State.
Nevada Golf will operate as the Official Allied Golf Association of the United States Golf Association (USGA®) for Nevada, continuing a long-standing commitment to amateur golf while expanding opportunities, resources, and services for golfers of all abilities.
For golfers across Nevada, the formation of Nevada Golf means easier access to an official USGA Handicap Index®, more opportunities to play and compete, exclusive savings, and a stronger, more connected golf community statewide. A USGA Handicap Index allows golfers of all skill levels to compete on a level playing field, track improvement, and enjoy friendly competition, whether in casual rounds, leagues, or formal tournaments.
A Nevada Golf membership includes a wide range of value-added benefits, including a USGA Handicap Index, more than 20 annual 2-for-1 golf green fee offers, and unlimited retail, dining, and travel discounts. Members also gain access to competitive and social playing opportunities at top courses and clubs throughout Nevada, along with rules education, junior golf programs, and exclusive member events.
“Nevada Golf is about making the game more enjoyable, more connected, and more accessible for every golfer in our state,” said Kenny Ebalo, President of the Nevada Golf Board of Directors. “Whether you’re a competitive player, a weekend golfer, or someone just getting started, membership provides an official handicap, meaningful playing opportunities, and real savings that enhance every round.”
The creation of Nevada Golf builds upon decades of tradition and service established by both NNGA and SNGA. By uniting under one statewide association, Nevada Golf strengthens relationships with courses, clubs, and volunteers while creating a more cohesive experience for golfers throughout Nevada.
In addition to supporting individual golfers, Nevada Golf will provide essential services to golf courses, including administering the USGA Handicap System, conducting Course Ratings, rules governance, and organizing tournaments and USGA Qualifiers. Nevada Golf supports clubs with educational workshops, volunteer training, technology tools, and initiatives aimed at growing the game, including youth programs and internships.
A new Nevada Golf website is currently in development and will serve as a centralized hub for golfers statewide. The site will feature membership information, club and course directories, playing opportunities, tournament schedules, news, and program updates. Additional details will be announced as the launch approaches later this month. In the meantime, information is available at NevadaGolf.org.
