Each of the champions are former winners of Southern Region one-day and/or two day events, so were not unfamiliar with the victory circle.
Championship
Eric Bauman overcame a slow start–four-over-par through the first four holes–to win the Championship Division.
It was Bauman’s second win of 2026 with his win earlier this season snapping a three-year winless drought.
After the slow start, Bauman bounced back with back-to-back birdies to get on track.
“It was a little rough in the beginning,” Bauman said. “But once I got it going, it was pretty good. I made a few putts along the way to get things going in the right direction.”
Bauman added his bounce back birdies were definitely the key.
“I got to the par-3 (fifth hole) and hit it close for birdie,” he said. “That righted the ship. Then I got another one on the sixth and a good one on the ninth to close out the front nine.”
He said his play off the tee put him in solid positions.
“I don’t hit it far so I better hit it straight,” he said with a laugh. “For me, that’s the key and I drove it nicely today.”

Senior
Todd Roberts, a Las Vegas Golf Hall of Famer, won for the third time in 2026–two individual titles and a team crown–winning the Senior division by two strokes.
Roberts birdied his first two holes and overcame a pair of double bogeys early in his back nine to come away with the win.
“I hadn’t played here before and it’s not the easiest course to navigate,” Roberts said. “I did make a couple of shortish putts on the first couple of holes to get things going.”
Roberts added it wound up being quite the battle with John Bobroski.
“I had an eight-shot lead going into the back nine,” Roberts said. “On the 10th, I hit it too far left and wound up behind trees and wound up three putting for a double. On 12, I hit a railroad tie and it bounced back 50 yards. I chipped it into the front bunker and wound up with another double. I made two doubles in the first three holes on the back and John was making birdies (four on the back nine). On 18, he made a good birdie out of the bunker and I lagged down a 15-footer and made the par putt and that was it. John really made it close on the back.”

Silver
It’s back-to-back titles for John Turk as he won the Silver crown for his second victory of 2026.
Turk birdied three of his final six holes.
“I had fun,” Turk said. “My wedge game is getting better and my putting is getting back where it used to be. I hit a lot of fairways and greens and that’s always a good thing.”
Turk said he’s beating the heat on the course and that has helped his game.
“I take magnesium and potassium and drink a lot of water before I go to bed,” he said. “Having been here in Vegas for 16 years or so, it’s worked out well. I just don’t want to get to the course with no energy.”
He also said his mindset has improved along the way.
“I stay in the present a lot more,” he said. “Today I hit a couple of wedge shots pin-high and made bogey. Go figure. Things like that used to really upset me but I don’t let it bother me anymore. I just go on to the next shot or the next hole and stay in the present.”

Dave Golder posted three birdies in a four-hole stretch (two natural and one net) in winning for the third time in 2026.
“It’s a pretty short course so the long hitters don’t really have a big advantage,” he said. “But you still have to make the shots into the greens. Keep yourself out of trouble and you’re going to have a wedge into the green out here.”
Golder said his all-around game was solid.
“I drove the ball well and didn’t get into any trouble,” he said. “And I chipped and putted well so it was a good day.”
He said winning was a shock.
“I thought four or five under would win this easily,” he said. “But it didn’t work out that way.”
Golder said he’s happy to have three wins on the season.
“Compared to how I played last year, this is great,” he said. “Last year I just played terrible. Now, my confidence is good. I’m feeling better and playing better.”
