Nevada Golf and the 90+ member clubs that are part of the organization are embedded in the community. Recently, the Carson Valley Women’s Golf Club (CVWGC) partnered with the Tahoe/Douglas Elks Club to hold a Spaghetti Fundraiser for boys and girls golf at Douglas High School.
“We were excited to join forces with our community to raise funds for our local high school golf teams to help them thrive this coming season,” said Vicki Rutledge, president. “This was our chance to give back to a sport and a community that has brought us many friendships, skills challenges, and a sense of belonging. Our club is committed to the community and will host other events in the future to lend a helping hand where we can.”
Thanks to these collective volunteer efforts, over 150 guests attended the fundraiser, raising a total of $3,000.00 in support of both the girls’ and boys’ golf teams. These proceeds will be thoughtfully allocated toward replenishing aged equipment, purchasing new spirit wear, and supplementing other essential team needs.
There were many CVWGC and Elks Club members who generously contributed their time and resources to make the evening a success. Most importantly, CVWGC was thankful for everyone who attended and supported this wonderful event, helping to ensure the continued success and growth of the Douglas High School golf teams The boys are coached by JD Frisbee and Eric Emm. The girls are coached by Tawnie D’Angelo. Your support truly makes a difference!
