FAQs

NEVADA GOLF MEMBERSHIP

Why should I join Nevada Golf?

Because golf is more fun with a community. You can learn the game, level up your skills, play casually or competitively, meet new friends, explore great courses, and save on green fees, apparel, equipment, and travel. Whatever brings you to the game, a Nevada Golf membership helps you enjoy it even more.

With a membership, you will receive a USGA® Golf Handicap Index®. With a golf Handicap, you can level the playing field when competing with friends or in tournaments; track your progress and improvement over time; and access events and competitions that require a verified Handicap Index®. You can find a full list of membership benefits on our website.

What are the Benefits of Joining?

Nevada Golf membership delivers exceptional value for golfers of all abilities. Members receive an official USGA® Handicap Index®, providing a fair and consistent way to measure skill, track improvement, and compete on a level playing field—whether in casual rounds, leagues, or formal tournaments. Membership also opens the door to competitive and social playing opportunities at outstanding courses and clubs throughout Nevada, along with exclusive member-only events.
In addition, members enjoy a wide range of value-added benefits, including more than 20 annual 2-for-1 green fee offers, unlimited retail, dining, and travel discounts, access to rules education and resources, support for junior golf programs, and the opportunity to be part of a stronger, more connected statewide golf community

Do I have to join a club to belong?

Yes, but joining is easy and flexible. Nevada Golf offers several membership options, including green-grass clubs, social clubs, and eClub memberships, so you can choose the option that best fits how and where you play. Any of these memberships provides an official USGA® Handicap Index®, access to valuable member benefits and savings, and the opportunity to be part of Nevada’s connected golf community

How do I join Nevada Golf?

It’s easy to join Nevada Golf. You can choose a member club near you – either one connected to a specific course or a social club built around shared interests. Prefer something flexible? Join an eClub to quickly establish and track your Handicap, with no course or traditional club affiliation required. You’ll find a full list of Nevada Golf–affiliated clubs on our Join/Renew page.

How do I renew my membership?

You can renew your membership via Join/Renew on the Nevada Golf website and choose either to renew a Member Club or eClub membership. If your club participates in our Online Join/Renew Program, you’ll be directed to the USGA site to renew using your existing GHIN®. For those clubs that prefer you renew directly with them, you’ll be redirected to their club.

Why can’t I find my club listed on the Nevada Golf website?

If you do not see your Member Club listed, please Contact Us. Not every club participates in the Nevada Golf Online Join/Renew program. If your club is listed but does not have a Join/Renew button, then you will need to reach out directly to the club to sign up for a membership.

How do I get a GHIN® number?

Simply join a Nevada Golf member club or eClub. You can select from over 150 clubs on our Join/Renew page. Once a Nevada Golf member, you’ll receive a GHIN number, your unique USGA/Nevada Golf identifying number that you’ll use to post your scores and receive a Handicap Index.

I cannot remember my Handicap ID number (e.g., GHIN® NUMBER), which I need to renew. How can I recover it?

You can find your GHIN® on your own in a few different places:

I would like to change clubs. Can I do that?

Yes, if it’s time to renew your membership, you can decide to join a different club. Some clubs have membership requirements, so you’ll want to check with the club first. You can find descriptions of all our member clubs on our Join/Renew page.

I am already a member of one Nevada Golf club, but I would like to join an additional club. Do I need to pay the full membership dues again?

Yes. Nevada Golf dues are required at each club where you are listed as an active member on that club’s GHIN® roster. Nevada Golf membership supports far more than just a Handicap Index®. Dues help fund services that benefit individual golfers, member clubs, and golf facilities statewide, including handicapping administration and training, membership support, Golf Genius tournament software education, Course Rating services, championships and USGA qualifiers, junior golf programs, and other initiatives that help grow and strengthen the game in Nevada.

Golfers who belong to more than one Nevada Golf member club and pay multiple GHIN® dues may receive a $30 rebate at the end of the season for each additional GHIN® payment by submitting a Multi-Member Rebate Form. Rebate requests may be submitted by the individual member from March 1 to December 1. Refund checks are processed starting October 1, providing full payment has been received from each of the member’s active clubs.

Please note that some clubs offer non-GHIN® (social) memberships that do not include Nevada Golf dues. These memberships are not recognized by Nevada Golf and are not eligible for the Multi-Member Rebate.

I want to transfer my membership from one club to another and/or another golf association. Can I keep my same GHIN® number?

Yes. Your GHIN® number stays with you, no matter which club or golf association you belong to. If you join a new club or association, simply use your existing GHIN® number to ensure your scoring history and Handicap Index® remain intact.

You may choose a different club when it’s time to renew your membership. If you would like to change clubs before your renewal date, Nevada Golf memberships are not transferable, and you will need to join the new club at the full membership rate.

Golfers who belong to more than one Nevada Golf member club may be eligible for the above-mentioned multi-club rebate.

I have already paid membership dues in a different state. Do I need to pay the dues again in Nevada?

You are required to pay the Nevada Golf dues at each club where you are active on their GHIN® roster. Those membership dues are more than just a Handicap fee. It is a Nevada Golf membership that provides many benefits and services to individual members, member clubs, and golf facilities.

It is important to maintain the same Handicap ID/ GHIN® NUMBER for every club that you belong to.

To get access to the full Nevada Golf member benefits, including eligibility to participate in Nevada Golf events, you need to sign up for a membership through a Nevada Golf authorized club.

My club gave me a new GHIN® number but I already have one. What should I do?

Please contact us at Nevada Golf to request a merge of your multiple GHIN® numbers. When reaching out, please let us know the preferred GHIN® number that you would like to keep using. Merging records combines the score posting history on both records and is fully displayed on the GHIN® record after the merge.
